Now 2 years old. He's wonderful in every way, obviously, but he's still SO clingy. Most of the time it's lovely, he's incredibly affectionate. But he still needs to be cuddled to sleep, he still demands to be picked up and carried all the time, and he's a big lad now. He has to be touching me, constantly. I think that's the part I find the hardest to deal with, he's hands always going up my sleeve or down my neck, and it's just the most horrible tickly scratchy sensation. I've just had him screaming "mummy mummy cuddle" at me for the past hour whilst I'm RIGHT THERE cuddling him. Think he's teething but offering Calpol made just it worse...! When will he stop needing to be in nearly constant physical contact?!

This is semi- lighthearted. I know he's still little, but I do wonder if I should be trying to make him more independent somehow?

There’s no should Flowers It can be very hard work but as you say, he’s still very young. They go through such massive changes it’s normal for them to cling to their biggest source of comfort and reassurance. Is he just two?

Yeah, only just turned 2. He's a happy chap most of the time, goes to nursery part time, DP does his fair share, e.g. we alternate bedtimes, and they have a day a week just the 2 of them when I'm at work. He is like this most with me though, which I guess means he loves me so much Grin just a bit full on sometimes.

Believe me they get to the stage where you're helping them with something and they give you a steely stare while saying 'I do myself Mummy'
