Conjunctivitis, snot and toddler hair

My 18m LO has rubbed her snotty nose all over her face and into her eyes resulting in snot-caked hair clumps and conjunctivitis.

Can I clip her hair back out of her face overnight? Or what else is there that I can do? She rubs her face more when hair goes in her eyes!

TIA

I've been through a challenging time of this with my just turned 2 year old. We had about 4 bouts of conjunctivitis in as many months due to wiping her nose with her arm in to her eyes and then her hair getting in the way. I went to the hairdresser asking them to cut a fringe in desperation but they said just leave it.
So I tie her hair back at the side with a little bobble or i use hair clips but they don't stay in well to be honest.
You could try a very thin bobble at the side to keep it back when she is asleep. The pony tail worked slightly better for us than hair clips as they constantly came out.
We are nearly out of the other side with her hair now longer and being trained to stay over at the side.
Good luck with it!

Buy a snot sucker so her nose is somewhat empty and therefore she can't wipe it everywhere. Ours is from Frida and is one of the best baby things I've used. Can buy from Amazon or Boots.

Use some nasal spray before sucking out (spray a few minutes before). Can purchase for babies from supermarkets.

Go to GP for a prescription of eye drops to clear the conjunctivitis.

My baby is 5 months old and this is exactly what we're doing. She's had a snotty nose on and off since birth so we use nasal spray and snot sucker regularly.

And she developed conjunctivitis last week so we are currently using drops prescribed by our GP and this helps massively.

Don't use a clip at night in case she puts it in her mouth and chokes. Don't use a hair bobble either for the same reason.
