For those that chose not to breastfeed before having the baby

If you knew you wasn’t going to be breastfeeding before you had the baby, what did you pack with you in your hospital bag?

Did you just pack ready made formula and that’s it? Did you have access to disposable bottles at the hospital so didn’t need to bring your own? Interested in hearing what other people did:)

My hospital gave the premade aptimil bottles with the sterilised teats. They gave me 3 at a time and told me to throw out whatever wasn't used. I brought my own starter pack but didn't use it.

Thanks again for the comments.

I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so will double check what’s allowed and what’s not. I’m having a C section so will be in the hospital for a couple of days at the very least. As long as they have disposable bottles and we have access to a fridge (which I’m sure we will do) then that’s easier for me:)

If you only use a starter pack you’ll have so much wastage and will need tons. I used ready made formula, the hospital provided disposable bottles I poured it into, I stored the open cartons in the fridge and asked for a cup of hot water whenever I wanted to warm up a feed.

Yeah I defo think I’ll use ready made bottles as they’re usually 200ml and last for 24hrs so will be able to get a lot of use out of one bottle.

The previous hospital I had DD in had SMA formula so if this hospital provides formula then I’ll just use that and switch by the time I get home!
