Hey,
I'm looking for advice as there is SO much choice.
What's your BEST travel tips for going abroad, we're going to Cyprus in the summer with a 1 year old, who over heats quite quickly, so need advice on..
A light airy shadey pram
Swimwear
Sunglasses
And how to keep cool as best as possible!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Cyprus gets very hot. When in the summer? Swim wear, use UV suits.

@Duracellbunnywannabe it will be the end of August!
I went in September once, and they had a heatwave, I barely saw the sun as it was just way too hot!

We’re going to Italy with our one year old in June. He will be 18 months at the time of the trip. Here are some of the travel things we’re booked/bought:

Travel cot: Baby Bjorn. Love this thing so much. It’s compact and lightweight when folded yet comfy and spacious when unfolded. A dream to put up and take down. We got ours second hand on eBay at around half the cost of a new one. The covers are fully washable. This will be one of our free baby items stored in the hold by easyJet.

Travel buggy: IckleBubba Globe. Not the prettiest buggy but great value for the price and does some things the more expensive brands don’t (lies flat, has a foldable footrest, a good sitting up position, stores in the overhead bin on a plane and has an unzippable back for extra airflow). You have to pay extra for the travel bag but its only £20. You can get these second hand too. We’re considering getting a SnoozeShade for naptimes but haven’t done enough research yet. If we do we’ll be buying a pram fan to go inside to make sure our son is comfortable.

Accommodation: Rental apartment. Working out cheaper than a hotel we got a one bed apartment for eight nights for around £600. It includes a washing machine so we only need to bring half the amount of clothes we would otherwise and can wash my sons nappies (we use reusables). The apartment means we can bring our son back for his after lunch nap if we need to (planning on doing this every other day) so that we don’t mess up his sleep schedule too much. It also means we can put him to bed in the bedroom and have a living room to relax in before we go to bed ourselves.

Blackout blind: I haven’t chosen one of these yet but our apartment windows don’t have proper curtains (could have shutters but I’m not sure) and we’re used to sleeping with blackouts at home.

White noise machine: Dreamegg. This has gone everywhere with us since our son was born and is a great little gadget for sleeping :)

Travel highchair seat: Again I haven’t chosen one of these yet but they’re essential in places like Italy (not sure about Cyprus) which don’t always have highchairs in restaurants.
