DD is loving her food however, she no longer wants me to feed her, she wants to do it all herself! Any suggestions of meals please I can feed her that she can feed herself whilst the rest of the family eat similar at the same time? My brain is totally frazzled! Thank you!

Anything pasta based, roast dinners, fish fingers, soups or lentil dhals with naan/pitta bread to dip in.

I'd give my DD anything we had so if it was fajitas then it would be deconstructed with all the components individually to pick up and chew. So peppers, onions, then the cut bits of chicken, a bit of wrap, then maybe a milder version before more seasoning of a homemade salsa to dip the wrap in.

If you're purely looking at finger foods to pick up that aren't messy then things like pasta, fish cakes, omelette or little filo pastry pies done in a muffin or Yorkshire dish in the oven, rice balls (there's a nifty rice ball mould - just Google 'rice ball mould blw'), bits of sliced meat, vegetable sticks, etc. There's a few blw TikTok accounts that have recipes for finger foods if you have it and do a search, definitely worth a look.

Lentil Dahl/soup/homemade hummus/baba ganoush with pitta bread to dip.

Fishcakes/fritters

Puff pastry pinwheels or twists with cheese, pesto etc.

Vegetable sticks and cheese sticks.

Homemade burgers, meatballs or arancini.

I tend to give my little one what we have most of the time as it's usually homemade and healthy and don't often use my BLW books but to be honest there are some great recipe ideas in them or online, especially for snacks/spreads/dips.

Agree to just give her bits of what you're having for dinner. (Assuming it's home cooked generally and low in salt etc).
Otherwise: toast, slices of avocado, banana, pepper, cucumber etc., Salmon, homemade sweet potato/potato chips, banana pancakes, muffins (cheese/spinach/veg), fishcakes.

Pin wheels- can do variety of veg

Omlette fingers

Savoury french toast, you can grate lots of veg in the egg mixture.

Mini chicken breast fillets with roasted root veg is always a good one.

I used to make something like a quiche but no pastry. You use wholemeal breadcrumbs (if no electric mixer, I used frozen crust off a loaf and grated it whilst frozen with a cheese grater), just mix grated cheese and eggs together and bake. The breadcrumbs make it solid enough to cut into finger sized pieces and it will keep in the fridge for days. All mine liked that, in fact so did I as not a big pastry fan!

These are amazing ideas thank you!
I enjoy cooking us food and generally we always eat the same but it’s harder to think of finger style foods that are healthy and an actual wholesome meal. I’ve ordered a ball maker too-Great!
