Weve done the aquarium, zoo, farm, bouncy castle place and the little legoland in manchester for 1st and 2nd birthdays here

Just a small party at home with my DH’s family. 1st party was bigger at restaurant with both sides of the family.

Birthday cake in the garden with grandparents, auntie and cousins (July birthday). This year I imagine will be much the same.

2 weeks ago and we went to a bouncy/soft play, then back home for presents and cake.
Then to an all you can eat … kids love them 😂

We'll be having a party in the village hall for her wee friends the week before, then on her actual birthday I think we'll go to a farm park so she can have a tractor ride. We'll also meet up with friends and go to the zoo and have another day out x

We went to see CBeebies Live at the Manchester Arena! DS is 9 and still remembers the big stage and lots of people and lights!

We then had a little tea party with balloons and cake, with the family.

We used to go to the farm, aquarium or zoo for our DC’s 2nd birthday’s. Last year for Dc4’s 2nd we had a party in the garden, tuff tray with sand and diggers, water box & paddling pool. Tea party, cake and a bbq later in the afternoon. Just like his 1st birthday during lockdown with a few more guests. By far our better ones and very much enjoyed will be doing similar for his 3rd.

We went to London zoo

A trip to a zoo or farm park.

Daqqe · 25/03/2022 21:47

With DD1 went to the zoo.

DD2 we went to a nearby farm with family. Weather was nice but colder! We had a nice lunch in a cafe on-site. And I also invited some friends & their kids for a play at our house the week after..she had a really lovely birthday 🥳

SparkleSpangle · 25/03/2022 21:50

We had similar age cousins over and a tea party. sandwiches, wotsits, party rings, They won't know, remember or care.

Anything big you do you are doing for you not them.

However if you are inviting a child over 3 make party bags, they are expected, apparently...

Party at a local soft play. It had a separate party room for a disco and we had a giant cake made, brought lots of helium balloons and decorations. It was really good fun!

Youngest DC is 2 next week. We're going to do cake, presents and family aquarium visit tomorrow. On the actual birthday he will take cupcakes to daycare and have his favourite dinner that night at home.

Changechangychange · 25/03/2022 22:09

Balloon. Cake. Presents. Your child is two, that is plenty of excitement for them.

Snowpaw · 26/03/2022 14:46

She helped me bake and ice her own birthday cake in the morning and had a whale of a time. We just had a family roast dinner and playing with new toys in the afternoon. It was in lockdown so could only be within our bubble. It was actually one of my nicest memories though - simple but lovely.

Friends round for a tea party and a bouncy castle in the garden. Simple yet effective. They all enjoyed themselves, were safe and contained and the mums and dads all sat around chatting and drinking tea and eating cake. Win win.
