Hi there, Mumsnet.

I'm brand new here, and I registered just to post this.

milkytwins.co.uk/

I got scammed today. There's this company called Milky Twins that sells breast pumps. They seemed a little more reasonably-priced than the others out there and (mainly because cost-of-living in the UK going mad recently) we were trying to save a little money.

Anyway, we paid our £120-odd and then...nothing. Really weird messages back from customer service, then radio silence. Nothing ever arrived.

I did a bit more research on their Facebook page (which I absolutely should have done first!) and their pictures are all of other people's products with their logo photoshopped on there!

So yeah, don't make the same mistake I did: avoid AVOID Milky Twins Breast Pump. They don't exist, they're a scam, and you'll never see what you ordered!

Hopefully this helps someone out there before they buy!

(also taking recommendations for alternative breast pumps!)

Hi! Did you get any resolve with this? I too purchased from them and they’ve advised shipping is delayed. Doesn’t look legitimate now I look back. How annoying. Did you report to your bank?

I was thinking the same! I just choose one of the cheapest ones with loads of good reviews on amazon and it worked great. Think it was around the £30 mark. Bellababy was the name of it.

I bought milky twins pump after reading reviews about it from reputable company’s.

It took over 2 weeks to arrive.
I emailed them a few times and they were quick to respond back to me saying there was a delay because of the war in Ukraine. I thought this was rubbish as I could see they were coming from Glasgow.
It never said how long it would take to come but I just assumed 3-5 working days at the most.

whilst waiting for them I found the equivalent on Amazon but I couldn’t afford to get these at the time as had just paid out for the milky twins.

The pumps I did eventually receive from them are very good and have been a life saver since having to suddenly exclusively pump as my baby has bad reflux with feeding from the breast.

I have only just known about this possible scan from them as I’ve looked into the warranty of them as it seems like one of my motors is going in one of the pumps. I now can’t find a trace of them. Looking closely at the pumps I don’t have any milky twins logo on them so I am now thinking that they are someone else’s pump which they resold to me and the reason it took so long to come is because they had to source from another company.

Just posting to say that, not milkytwins, but I was scammed by something similar.

Having checked out their Facebook etc after making payment (stupid, I know) I realised I'd made a mistake.

I had used my debit (as opposed to credit) card so assumed no recourse, but I phoned my bank straight away. They said they couldn't stop the pending payment but they would reimburse if it didn't turn up within 15 days, which they did.

So if anyone does get scammed, contact your bank, even if not a credit card.
