How long does it take for a toddler passport to be processed?

Hi :) I applied for my toddler's first passport and sent off his birth certificate in the post on the 8th of March. Today I had another email asking me to send it to them which had me a little confused... I logged into the portal and there's no record of them receiving his certificate.

I'm a bit worried now. We're going to call them at the weekend but has this happened to anyone before? Does it just take a long time for them to process the documentation? I'm scared it might have got lost in the post.

Can I ask you how many days it took from the day they notified they received the documents to approval day 😭 I'm so desperate

Text to say documents were received was 23 March, and then someone had to approve his ID on 1 April (which I still don’t understand as this was also done before we sent everything off). A friend did the ID confirmation the same day and then I had a text that day to say it had been approved and was being printed. Fingers firmly crossed for you!

Oh I also received the passport on the 06.04. Sent all the documents on 24.02. Got various updates along the way and then 05.04 I got and email that it’s been printed. Came with FedEx the next day.

Just to update, I finally received my son's passport on Tuesday the 19th so it was six weeks start to finish for us :)

I just got a text message saying they have received my documents which I have already got on the 29th of March...
I'm just confused.. is this just a auto repeat message ?
