Struggling with constant illness

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I am really struggling with the fact that my toddler keeps bringing home colds. It seems she is only sick for a few days but each time it completely floors me for 2 weeks. I'm exhausted and I'm worried about all the the I'm having to take off work. I only work part time around 19 hours and look after DD 3 days a week. I just feel like I have no time to rest at all. My OH is great - he works from home and helps out as much as he can inbetween work and meetings and does more than his fair share of housework. My parents look after DD 2 days a week when I am at work but now they have come down sick with this last cold too so I can't ask for extra help. I'm exhausted and worried about my manager getting annoyed at me for taking time off and if I'll need meetings with HR etc. I'm not sure if I'm asking for advice or if this is just a rant. Should I call my GP? Is there even a point because they can't give me anything with being pregnant and it's just colds anyway? Can they write a line for me for my employer? I'm so exhausted and emotional.

Just wanted to sympathise, @Mamabear04 - it's really hard. Perhaps speaking to your GP and getting some time off is the right thing to do. From what you've written, I think it would be a huge weight off your shoulders if you had some respite from work at least.

You're pregnant so you're well protected in the workplace. They won't touch you! If you're sick, you're sick. I was off for 4 months during my last pregnancy (hyperemesis, SPD and gestational diabetes).
