Being patented to death

Morning all!

My little girl is nearly 3, sleeps well 9 times out of 10 but last three weeks it's been one thing after another meaning sleep has been worse than when she was a newborn.

I am out of practice thinking those days of prolonged sleep deprivation were behind me ( ignorance is bliss)

She has now pretty much recovered from her latest cold, but is still waking up every hour or so. I do think her nose is still dripping into her mouth which I know is horrible for her.

We never really had to do any sleep training, but I think we need to now.

We tried the cio method but obviously with neighbours it's not ideal.

She doesn't nap anymore but has taken to falling asleep at around 4 - which I know probably doesn't help.

Anyway just wondering if anyone has any advice about sleep training an older toddler - should I bother or just ride it out until she naturally settles down ( please god soon)

Also anyone going through similar fee free to share in my misery lol

I know see through very swollen and tired eyes there isn't really a point to this post so tia to anyone nice enough to unpick my ramblings and respond

Do you mean going to sleep at 4 for the night? If so that is most probably the problem. It might have worked before but they're brains change continuously and now needs a different sleep schedule. I'd say reintroduce the nap at around 1pmish as that's when there is a natural decline in energy and she just might sleep. At first call it quiet time, no TV, just books, quiet play on a couch that's dimly lit or in her room with just a little light. Atleast it would give her the opportunity to rest and maybe snooze. Then make her bedtime 6 then stretch it out slowly to 7pm. So it's not such sudden changes. Just an idea 😊 good luck I hope she improves soon!
