Hi all.
Due to travel tomorrow with a 6mo. I will need about 3 9oz bottles for the duration of the journey are you allowed to take the 200ml pre made sealed bottles through security or only pre made bottles from home ? So confused

We did this yesterday, at Gatwick. Went through with both sealed liquid bottles (200ml, 1 litre) and Tommee Tippee bottles made up with powder at home. They were scanned through some extra device, that’s all.

So it's OK for me to take about 6 200ml ready to feed bottles through? I might only take 4 and take 1 bottle with powder.

I’d think so, yes. Perhaps -pre-order some more from Boots past security if there’s a branch at your airport (or buy some more - they are always in stock) but we had no issue. Screenshot the guidance to show them if needed.

I had some ordered to collect but there's been a issue with delivery so will just take the ones I bought in boots today. Thanks

Where are you flying from? It’s been a long time since Dd had bottles but we used to order them from boots airside - so you pick them up after you go through security & don’t have any problems (in those days you had to open & taste each one in front of the staff - which was obviously no hood if you didn’t want to use it for hours)

Yes you can bring sealed premade, they can also be open too, or made up milk in bottles. There is no exact cut off, just a ‘reasonable’ amount for your trip. I would bring at least 2 more than you need for your entire journey just to be safe.

Thanks everyone because government website doesn't exactly state anything about premade bottles.

Yes. Flew quite a few times to Australia (pre covid) with babies, transiting through the UAE or Asia.

I had several of those pre made bottles in my luggage and was never an issue!
My understanding is there's an exemption on the liquids allowance for baby formula/bottles.

Hi, I was just wondering how this worked out for you. I’m flying from Heathrow on Monday with my 6 month old.
