wear them out?

DS has always been go go go since he was 3 months old - desperate to roll and then crawl.

He's coming up to 16 months and is constantly busy and up to something, racing around and exploring. At the moment I can see this is definitely going to be a more long term trait.

I love it about him, he's so curious and active but I'm running out of ways to wear him out. He's a bit too small for sports and long walks/bike rides but too big to let him roam the house and he wears himself out.
The obvious one is soft play but is there anything else?

Any tips or tricks?

Duracellbunnywannabe I think if I had one of those we'd be there all the time for sure!! Maybe I was expecting to much from our bog standard square pool 😅 even with the big foam brick things they have!

How are you getting on with things op?

He's doing so well!
Loves the playground - constantly trying to follow the older kids to play with them.
Though bless him, he's still a little too small for some of the big slides and older kid climbing frames .

Once he gets a bit older I'll take him swimming as well and longer walks where he can toddle along .

It's very clear that he needs to be outside 1-2 times a day minimum!
We're going to get the garden nice this spring as well so hopefully he'll have plenty of fun things to do there as well.

Next year I'll look at some local little sports clubs he could try out and see if he likes.
Thank you so much for all your advice!

At that age we found a tiny 10 inch balance bike from Halfords and a set of reigns did us very well. We would go out twice a day or for several hours just riding around the streets / looking for cats / going to all different local play parks. - this was during lockdown 1 so all other options were shut.

Meant we could get out for decent adult paced walks too as he was much faster riding than walking too.

My DS is very active, always has been, I still make him run everyday even though he is nearly eleven. He is utterly exhausting. He has always been very physical since the day he was born
