How much should my 6 month old be drinking

Okay so I’m concerned my baby’s not having enough bottles she uses to take 5 7oz bottles a day before weaning but now she’s not. Really interested in them she much prefers food
This is her current routine
She wakes up around 7 am and will have about 5-6 oz of a bottle
9:30- 10she will have some breakfast either weetabix or ready brek and some toast
About 1 I give her a bottle but she will only have like 3 oz
Then about 2/3 she will have some dinner and pudding she does normally eat most of it
6/7 she will have a bedtime bottle but again only takes a few oz
The times can be give or take depending on nap time but that’s roughly her daily intake. I don’t know what to do because she is enjoying solids so I don’t really wanna cut down on them but I’m concerned she’s not having enough .
She is on the 50th percentile and is a healthy weight

As long as you continue to offer a bottle, don’t worry if she doesn’t drink it. A baby is pretty good at regulating it’s nutritional needs. She’ll take it if she needs it.
It sounds like you’re feeding both cereal and toast for breakfast. I’d probably just stick to cereal. Maybe she’d drink more of her mid-morning bottle then. And if her pudding is either yogurt, custard or rice pudding, then she’ll be getting calcium through that.

Yeah it normally is one of them 3 tbf I was just worried cause she’s only 6 months and doesn’t seem bothered with milk anymore

Some babies just prefer food over milk, just keep offering and let her decide how much she wants. If she’s having less than 500ml of formula in 24 hours you need to give a multivitamin.

Hi @Mumtobe2021x

I have the exact same problem at the moment with my DD who is now just over 7 months.
She took to food instantly and we are already on three meals a day and she eats everything! She cut right back on her milk which really worried me but advice from some boards on here really helped me.

Firstly don't stress. Aim for 500ml (18oz) a day but give a Healthy Start Vitamin if they don't reach that.
Put formula milk in food, for example, I put 4oz of milk in her breakfast (porridge or Weetabix) every morning as she always refuses a morning bottle. This way I know she's had some. I then do bottles before each nap and ensure that they are given at least an hour after her last meal and she usually takes 6/7oz at a time here.
I also give her a light tea around dinner time - eg chopped vegetables and a rice pudding or yoghurt for afters as they are generally quite high in milk.
I do another 7oz bottle at bedtime and a dream feed four hours later. I find she's far more accepting of a bottle at night and when she's tired so try to time it around then. I offer plenty of water throughout the day so she doesn't get dehydrated.

When it doesn't go to plan I whack out the vitamins. I also consulted 2x different Health Visitors who told me not to be concerned and to look at what she drinks/eats over a week rather than each day. They also really emphasised the vitamins and adding milk to food, or offering her yoghurt and cheese lots for calcium, etc.

Thing is, if she was doing this at 10 months I wouldn't be worried whatsoever but the fact it's so early really threw me! I'm sure you're doing a great job! Hope that helps.
