My almost 14 month old is breast to sleep and sometimes bites me so I immediately take him off and try to pat him to sleep instead. He then has a tantrum and head buts me. This then leads me to telling him off. Today I had to leave him in his cot to cry after he head but me as it just made me so angry. I know I shouldn’t leave him to cry, but I’m so fed up.

I'm sure you did the right thing sometimes you just need space to cool down.

He sounds just like my daughter with both the biting and the tantrum. It's horrible when they bite you, my daughter went through a phase of this (usually when teething). I usually leave her in her cot if she is inconsolable like that with her teddies and her lullaby lamp until she calms down. Sometimes I leave her to cry just a little before bed and she settles herself.

I sympathise, it was the tired biting and fussing that led me to drop that feed. No point in 'telling off' with a cross tone at this age. I used to unlatch and move DD away, and back when calm. If bit again, lots of cuddles and no feed. Could lo be teething?
