Can someone reassure me?!

I was so delighted that my 5 week old grasped a plastic rattle this morning that I put another, a heavier wooden one, in her hand. She grasped it, moved her hand, and she ended up hitting herself on the forehead with it. All morning I have had anxieties that I've damaged her brain, as she was crying after it. There's no mark or lump. Reassure me that I am being silly, please!

Those real tears really tug don't they?

Gently, you’re being silly Smile Babies are tough and as she grows she’ll bump her head many, many more times.

At a year old I let my teen ds take him to the shop for the very first time. Ds let go of the pram to shut the door and the wind blew it down 4 steps. Landed on his head.
999 call and blue lights to hospital.. Not a scratch. Worst dc related incident ever ime. Being a dp is truly terrifying at times.

Don't worry they'll be fine, the tears were more that it shocked it them and probably hurt a bit.

My baby fell face first off the sofa yesterday! Big cry but quickly consoled. They're pretty tough. They do hit themselves in the face with toys a lot till they work out how to avoid it. It's how they learn.
