Using toddler milk on a newborn - help

Mass panic and immense mum guilt - I’ve just realised that my Kendamil delivery for my 3 month old daughter has been wrong and they sent toddler milk (stage 3) instead of first infant milk. She’s been having it for a week and I just noticed it - the tubs are near identical. Not only do I feel so bad for not spotting it sooner but I’m panicking now - anyone think I should take her to the doctors or anything?

No use panicking about it now, switch to the right stuff and keep an extra eye on her measurements in her red book but she'll be fine.

I'd you're worried you could give your HV a call but you won't be the first person to mix them up by accident.

I wouldn’t rush your baby to the dr now but I would contact Kendamil tomorrow.

Yeah, I would definitely contact the company, it's understandable that you might not notice they should have processes in place to stop this happening.

I was of the understanding there’s no difference, but formula companies aren’t allowed to market infant milk, so they thought up 2nd stage and toddler milk so they could.

The main difference is the fat content, babies one has a fair amount more fat in it.

I wouldn’t panic but I would ring a HV/GP for a chat about it
