Has anyone weaned there child at 4 months
Before anyone comes at me I just want opinions and if anyone says it's wrong the food I've been looking at is 4-6 months so if you couldn't give at 4 month it wouldn't say

Its not the UK guidelines it is the WHO guidelines. Aka the WORLD health organisation.

Didn't the WHO say something about
breastfeeding til 2? It's not the gospel, still just guidelines.

We weaned at 4.5 months at the suggestion of a cusultant because DD had reflux. We started with 1 teaspoon of baby rice a day and then after a week moved to twice a day and then slowly increased the portion size each week. After a month we started on purees and didn't give solid food until after 6 months

Also BF until just after 12 months and then that came to a natural end

Sorry just reading back on the comments - we were advised by our HV to start the weaning process with baby rice. It is mixed with breast milk/formula so the nutrients come from there. I think the idea is to get the baby's stomach used to a thicker substance rather than anything else before moving onto purees
