What do your year 4 boys do

So I'm just after peoples experiences. I have a year 4 son. Lovely, well behaved. No issues with him at all really (touch wood). What I'm wondering is how do year 4 boys spend their time when at home. He does a few hobbies which keep him active and busy but at home he sometimes (not always as he does play nicely a lot of the time both alone as with his brother) he pesters a lot for the tv on. Like as soon as we walk in the house he wants it on. I know this is very normal (he doesn't yet have a games console-his choice) but I'm wondering what else he could be doing instead as sometimes he seems at a loss. I get the impression he is growing out of toys and he has dyspraxia so struggles with Lego or building type things. We do play board games but obviously can't do this with him all the time. Any ideas would be fab. Thanks

Nephews: go in the garden, fight with each other, read books, playdates

GSs love climbing trees, visit playgrounds a lot, fight with each other, chase each other, go to rugby training each week, play in the garden. Playdates, play with Lego, Brio, cars, like cooking and using the vacuum cleaner. Water play in the bath.

Mine is Yr 5, nearly 10. He calls on friends and plays out a lot, we are lucky to live somewhere he can do that. He reads, paints warhammer, draws and still plays imaginative games with lego, playmobil and the like.

Far too much screen time for mine. PS4 or YouTube. He does have a couple of hobbies. When he is on the PS4 he does chat to friends. He also likes to draw oh and fight/ argue with his brothers.

My just turned 9 year old reads, plays lego and toy soldiers, calls for friends, watches youtube, plays video games- very recently has been allowed play online with friends, cycles, plays on trampoline. He plays soccer and GAA so trains and plays matches for them. However he devotes an awful lot of time and attention to annoying his little sister.

Mine are yr3 and yr5. They would be on screens 24/7 if they had their way (I let them have 2 hrs a day, which still feels like loads to me!)

Mine still play quite "childish" games, fight scenes with action figues etc, they still really like imaginext and playmobil. They spend quite a lot of time writing/drawing comic books, but they also spend a lot of time jumping on my bed 😏 Tbh, if I ignore the "I'm booooored"s then they always manage to find something to do!

Thanks for the ideas! He still does like playmobil and imaginext figures as well as nerf guns and swords. He loves playing out in the garden and making up army/police type games. I got him a warhammer set but he just hasn't got the fine motor skills to paint them and found it a bit frustrating. He enjoys playing it though.

😂. We are currently in the process of moving house so we have plenty of boxes sitting about. Also swords!

My 4yo watches a fair bit of TV (no tablet yet) but also plays with lego, action figures, draws and looks at magazines and books on things he's into.
