Pregnant with my first and completely overwhelmed on what stroller to get, I've been looking and still have no clue and where I live there's surprisingly not many buggy stores so need to look outside my city.

I've got a toyota aygo which is a very small car so need something that folds and fits in the boot, we live in a city.

My budget for a buggy is around £300, my family are buying me a car seat separately up to £200 so if this all comes together my total budget is £500.

I was looking at maxi cosi tinca car seat and gia stroller potentially but unsure if would fit.

Please help!!

We have a 3 door mini so I have experience with ultra small cars!

For a pushchair we went with the Cybex Beezy which is lie flat from birth and you can get maxi cosi adaptors for it. It’s about £250. For car seat we chose the Cybex Cloud Z, which is over your budget but works for us as we only have 3 doors and it swivels so easier to get DS in and out.

We had a baby jogger city mini which lies flat from birth and folds flat so fitted nicely in the aygo boot. Was brilliant and not particularly expensive.

Car seat wise, we had a maxi cosi infant carrier, then moved to two way pearl. Be careful of low height limits on infant carriers as they can be grown out of earlier than you might want.

Seats that rear face to 25kg are a lot more popular now so they're good seats to use after an infant carrier is grown out of (axkid minikid, axkid move, britax maxway) as you can then rear face for much longer (until 6/7 depending on their centiles). They are also more compact than a lot of seats that rear face to 18kg.

Before you buy ask about to see if anyone offers you at least an infant carrier to borrow, the stay in car through car seats are much better value but are not the easiest or even suitable for newborn. I borrowed a carrier for 3 months then switch to a seat that last until 4 years old (they now last far longer). As far as the buggy, just make sure it lies flat
