Home cooking quanities

Hi mummas,

I have been doing my best to prepare home cooked meals for my 8 months old son, however I often find that due to small quantities needed for baby recipes I struggle to use all the ingredients before their expiry date. I aim to offer my son wide variety of meals throughout the week and therefore I prefer not to repeat the ingredients too much. The remaining amounts are usually not enough for a full meal for me and my DH. Do you experience the same? Any tricks I am missing? Thanks!

Can you cook bigger amounts and freeze? Or blend what you and your DH are having for the baby? (Leave salt out of their portion)

I used to make large quantities and then freeze in potions.

Alternatively, just feed your baby a portion of whatever you're having (portion his off before adding salt to the rest)

Would you not be better making meals for you and your dh and giving your dc a share of it. Or batch cook a larger amount for your dc and freeze the leftovers

At 8 months, there's no need to blend it.
