When walking from house to car, what to dress baby in???

Hi my son is 4 months old, I usually put him in his car seat with a blanket then put him in the car (the car is parked directly outside our house)

However I’m not able to carry him in the car seat as just had surgery, so I’m going to have to carry him from our house, walk to car and then put him in the car seat. BUT it seems like a lot of effect to put him in his pram suit to walk him for 1 second then to remove pram suit to put in car seat. Would wrapping him a blanket be sufficient?

And say if I was walking him a bit further away like for 15 seconds would a blanket be okay?

I know this may be a stupid question, I just worry about everything!

Thanks so much

If you're in the UK, you'll be fine with a blanket wrapped round (or even with nothing extra if it's only 15 seconds!).

Ahh the things you worry about with your first.. my second is lucky if I remember to grab her coat on the way out 😂 I’ve done several school runs where I have forgotten & just had to try huddle her under my coat a bit 🙈

A blanket is fine OP & to be honest, you don’t need anything if it’s just a couple minutes or less! It’s the UK, it’s really not the cold. Mostly wet & damp 😩

It's not even that cold right now! Seconds don't count, babies will survive a cool breeze! I think it's colder in the swimming pool changing rooms with a wet costume on than in clothes outside for a few seconds!!

I have a thin hooded onesie for baby to wear in the carseat.
