Toddler making hard work of everything

Any advice please?
My previously very sweet and amenable ds has recently started to make hard work of things, such as changing a nappy or getting in to the car seat.
He thinks he's the funniest thing on 2 legs and flails about, hides, escapes, so much so that I dread trying to get out the door now as I end up getting soaked strapping him in, or am a sweaty mess by the time I've done his nappy and got his coat on.
I fully appreciate that he's just developing a sense of humour and thinks it's the funniest game ever to defy me, but blinking heck I'm worn down.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Tis is the way with toddlers. Everything is a game so you have to make everything into a game it’s exhausting.

Mine is exactly the same, except I'm 36 weeks pregnant and having a sense of humour bypass. Having to drag him out from under the dining table by his ankles every bedtime while he giggles hysterically is getting old!

Yup. Toddler job description.

If they are being bolshy tickling them helps. Sometimes.

My dd never did this, she was always happy to be going somewhere, even if just to post a letter, so she'd happily get dressed, nappy changed, strapped etc.
He's really thrown me. I can't reason with him. Why aren't toddlers reasonable? Grin
