Making bottles while out

Hi!
I was wondering how do you ladies/gentlemen make bottles for your little ones while out and about?
I’ve been asking for boiled water where I am like Costa or anywhere really and then a cup with ice to cool it down, but waiting for a bottle to cool while your little one is screaming the place down can be a little bit stressful!
So just wondering what does every one do?
Thanks!

We always did ready made bottles

Hot water in a thermos and made it up.
Then cold water to cool down.
Or had the ready made

Nuby rapid cool flasks. Life saver.

I used ready made most of the time. Otherwise I got boiling water if in a cafe etc, mixed the formula up with a small amount then added cooled boiled water (from home) to cool it down. Kind of like the perfect prep does.

Boiled water in a thermos, cooled boiled water in a flask.

Add formula to the baby bottle, add 1/4 of the total amount needed of boiled water, shake to mix, then top up with the cooled water. Perfect every time!

If making up a 4oz bottle for example, 1oz boiling water, 3oz cooled water.

Yep 2 flasks one boiling water one cooled boiled. Then add power to roughly a quarter of boiling water then top up with cold.

I used to make one before I went - that would last 2hrs - and then use ready to feed after that. Wasn't often enough for the cost to be prohibitive. I have a tommee tippee bottle warmer (it's a flask with a container that fits over the top) that I find really useful for warming the milk without having arguments with restaurant staff about the safety of them providing boiling water/ whether they have a container my bottle will fit in.

Made at home, flash cooked and put in the fridge. When I was going out put in on of these

Then got some hot water to take the chill off before feeding.

Luckily mine weren't too bothered about temperature and I was worried I would get the amounts wrong with the hot and cold water 🙈

Lockdownmummy · 08/02/2022 09:05

And not sure how old your little one is but I found as they get older feeding becomes more predictable so easier to be prepared before the screaming starts!

We just took the little cartons and decanted them into a bottle. Saved faffing around.

Thank you everyone! @BeeDavis I’ve looked at the nuby rapid cool but you have to sterilise it after every use and what if I’m out all day and I use the two flasks 😩 but other wise I would get that in a heart beat!
Thank you I’m going to try the cool boiled water, she takes 6oz at the moment so I would put 2oz of hot and 4oz of cool?
Sorry totally new to this was always worried if I did the cool boiled water I would make her tummy bad 😩

I used to make apl bottles for day night before and put in fridge, then on days when i went out, just take a bottle in a insulated bottle holder (to keep cold) and then use as needed. If i needed more than 1 feed i would take ready made bottle for other feeds.

We are making the bottles at home and taking them with us.
