Hi all!

So I’m tearing my hair out! We’ve got our little girl who is 3 and a little boy 9 months.
Our little girl has always been a great sleeper and we’ve mostly put it down to our really consistent routine and chill out time before bed. She’s been a lights out and off to sleep for the whole night till around 7am. I’ve also been aware how rare this is after our some came along who is not a great sleeper but has just started sleeping through after we’ve been hammering the bedtime routine and consistency angle.

However, since around Christmas time our little girl has been getting out of bed 5/6/7+ times a night. We put her back to bed with little fuss but she gets really upset when we try to leave so have to sit till she falls asleep then sneak out, however then you can bet she will be back in 5/10 mins later and this will go on almost all night.
We’ve tried leaving her but she just cries and wakes up our youngest which means then she’s crying, he’s crying and I’m crying too! 😂🙈😭

Has anyone had some success in breaking a cycle like this and what did you do??
I’m currently running on 3/4 hours of broken sleep and I’ve just gone back to work again so am really really struggling! I’ve been so tempted to book a sleep consultant at £450 at 3am after not sleeping all night 😭😂🙈

Any advice appreciated!
Thank you!!

I sympathise. My almost 3 year old
Son has been the same- brilliant sleeper, in his own room since 18 months. Light off, goodnight and slept the whole night. For the last 4 or 5 weeks however he wakes and calls his dad 4 or sometimes 5 times every night. He wants water, he wants wee wee, there are bees in his bed, there and last night there was a hamburger in his room :)) we don’t know if there are dreams or his imagination running wild. Sometimes he just wakes and cries and dad has to put him to sleep again. I don’t hear any of it as I sleep in the far away bedroom with our 4 month old. I’ve so solution for you but my sympathies and let’s hope this is only a phase!
