Double Pushchair

Hi everyone, due with DC2 in July and looking at double pushchairs. DC1 will have just turned 2 when DC2 arrives so I think we’ll need one. She’s a good walker but obviously very easily distracted so takes ages to get anywhere if she’s on foot.

I had a look at the out n about nipper double yesterday and quite liked it, wondered if anyone had some feedback from actually using one in real life (or any recommendations for a different double if you have one you love!)

I have a city mini double and its great. I think the gt is better but I could only find a normal one second hand locally.
It goes through almost all normal doorways and the seats are comfortable

I had a big heavy tandem when mine were little, it had it's advantages (huge shopping basket and was compatible with the carry cot and car seat from my single travel system)
But when I started childminding I tried out a friend's nipper and loved it, I'm now the proud owner of 2 double nippers, they are so nice and easy to push!
Only downsides are having to pump the tyres up all the time, and there's limited space for shopping and stuff. But it's not an issue for me as I don't do big shops when I'm working but if that's something you need it for then it could be a problem. Although you can lay one seat back and fit in a couple of bags while dd walks, I sometimes use a double when we go to the forest in school holidays, youngest child in one seat and the picnic bags in the other!

I had a long limo like one, I got this from Facebook then when done sold it again on Facebook. I liked it because it folded flat.

@MarchingOnTogether I was so surprised how nice it was to push when I tried it, I thought it would feel much heavier. Good point about the tyres though, I hadn’t thought about that. Do you have to pump them up often?

Great idea to use the seats for storage, that would work well for me as we’re only a short walk from a corner shop and a big shop I’d take the car anyway.

I have an Out n About for my twins and it’s absolutely great, so much do I’ve bought a single for my singleton baby. I have a set of Eva wheels which are hard wheels but slightly smaller in size than the normal OnA wheels. I highly recommend it!

It's hit and miss, sometimes it seems we have to pump one up every time we use it but then we can go weeks without.
We rarely get punctures though, one actually went pop on me the other day but it was the first in over a year!
You can get solid wheels for them but apparently it makes it feel heavier so I've not tried them.

Out n about nipper double was the best thing I ever bought.
Never once had to pump up the tires.
The storage isn’t great.
The seats are quite narrow and my kids fought a lot (nothing changes there)
The newest version with the two separate hoods is the best
