Anyone else's Yr 6 really struggling with SATS pressure?

My dd is absolutely hating Yr 6. Its a fairly academic school with a great reputation but they have literally gone on a bout nothing else since September. They still do games and Pe but apart from that there seems to be no enrichment and it's just relentless work. On top they have homework every night and she has an extra maths hour after school once a week.
She says it's boring and dreads every day. She says every day.is the same and the teacher is really strict and demands really intense focus all day.
I work.in a school and the Yr 6 are preparing for Sat's but not on this same.level and the teacher mixes it up with some fun activities.
Dd is about average academically and has always enjoyed school, its seems really sad that her last year is making her so unhappy.
I just wondered if other schools are like this.

Yes, my dd2 only scored average marks in her SATS & did achieve much higher GCSE grades than predicted. Although predicted grades from age 7 & 11 are unrealistic in my opinion.
I still think they do little more than benefit primary schools performances though & hold very little benefit for Y6. I would honestly rather have a child perform to a lower standard & grow to achieve more. I certainly never felt dd2 was put at any disadvantage whereas dd1 scored highly in SATS & was given some unachievable grades to aim for in GCSE.
Regardless, I am against extra study, extra textbooks & extra pressure for 11 year olds.

Oh yes & the endless talking about 'next year & SATS' to poor Y5 children who missed half of Y3, a large chunk of Y4 & are really doing their best to keep up with a curriculum that allows very little time for processing knowledge before racing on.
SATS haven't happened for 2 years, not convinced we need them back at all.

My DC’s school is doing work in class for SATs, but no homework and no extra clubs as far as I am aware. I would not be making them do tons of extra homework if they were given it. I was really hoping they’d cancel them again this year.
