Anyone tried the Bamboo Sandy's?

Do they take forever to dry? I'm tempted by some Baby Beehinds but and worried they are too small for my DD at 2.5 ys. Just looking for night options.

Was thinking of trying the Beehinds wooly wraps as we get lots of red marks from airflow and a well boosted MEOS but I guess I'll have the same prob with the size. Can anyone tell me how big the Disana ones come up? Ta!

I use bamboo sandys on my 5 month old dd for night time. I use cotton bottoms and bambino mio during the day, but they just leak at night. so I did some research into really absorbent ones, and the bamboo sandys sounded good. I used them without a booster at first and they were fine, but she needs a booster now shes a bit bigger. they do take a little longer than prefolds to try in the tumble, but its not really a problem. I haven tried any other brand though so not sure about Beehinds. HTH.

i didnt realsie they did sandys in bamboo

do they do toddlerease (the same but bigger) too? if you child is 2.5 probably a good idea to go for the biggest.... could then be the night nappy for when she is dry in the day

I found normal sandys (a few years ago) to be very absorbant and one of my all time favourite nappies.

can imagine having it in bambo would just make it better

I've not used normal ones so don't know about the drying time, but the bamboo are loooovely and soft

I think beehinds would be too small for you (well, definitely for YOU, but your DD ), I haven't tried the beehinds wraps. The disana were a weird shape on my DS. If you want felted wool then The Hollow Oak are looooovely (but they do cost more because they are hand made wahm), if it is wool ingeneral then I lean towards woollywraps or seahorse slacks

Yes Flame, that would certainly be a case of 'does my bum look ginormous in this?? Disana do look weird but great in that they just pull up and have nice cuffy legs. Will look out for Hollow Oak.... but don't want to spend a fortune at this stage as she is dry during day, so it's just a guess as to how much longer at night. I just want some wool to be really reliable, not bothered about the look. The airflows contain so well but the red marks are not great, so thought it might be worth a try. I like the idea of wool but will prob get peed off with the lanolising.

Will def. get some Sandy's....the 2nd hand beehinds I just bought may well be showing up in the classifieds...or do I wait to see if we can be arsed to have another child....?

argghhh, I'm looking for some second hand beehinds - see my wanted post .

I don't think the bamboo sandy's and MEOS take that much longer to dry than their cotton counterparts. I think they are worth the extra drying time as they really are so much softer. Both the bamboo and cotton ones in my trial kits dry overnight if I put them near a radiator - the only difference being that the bamboo ones dry soft and the cotton more 'cardboardesque'.

I'll let you know if the Beehinds are too small Coby although the Mum who is selling them had 2 and I only bought one. She had them advertised on MN but I first saw them and contacted her via this: www.thenappysite.co.uk/used-nappies/details.php?item=552

Good luck, they do sound great. I'm on the case for the Sandy's now..

Thank you Disaster Zone. Will keep my fingers crossed. I emailed a beehinds seller on the site you mentioned a a couple of weeks ago but had no reply. I guess they have both gone. There are some on usednappies but a bit on the expensive side. Not sure how well they'll fit my DD as she is very long so one would probably be a good buy for now.

Good luck with the Sandy's hunt

Calling Coby: the Beehinds are toooooo small!! Want them? And did you get the other pair from that seller? I just paid £4 incl postage so I'm happy to take the same. They are purple and have been used a fair bit - a bit felty in appearance but perfectly clean with the boosters. You can email me at penny at evering.org
