Size 4+ or Size 5 nappies?

This might be a ridiculous question but please advise! DS is of a weight where he would fit into both 4+ or 5 nappies. I know the + means more absorbent but are the 4+ nappies more absorbent than the size 5s? He is fine during the day but his nappy is often soaked by the morning in a 4+. What do you say?

I thought the + stands for weight. Is it pampers? The weight range specification in the 4+ ones is higher than just 4.

From personal experience I think 4 and 4+ are similar in terms of the size of baby they fit, but the plus are more absorbent for heavy wetting. So dd1 used to have 4 nappies in the the day and then a 4+ for the overnight and both fitted her fine, but the plus was needed for her heavy overnight wetting.

I always size up overnight anyway, for absorbency.

Hows the fit in size 4? If they're roomy then I probably wouldnt go up a size tbh.

If 4's fit well, could you try 5+ and see?
