Move baby to own room

My DD is 6.5 months old and wondered when is the best time to move her to her own room and whether that has helped them to sleep all night. She is currently in a next to
Me crib which she hasn’t outgrown yet. Is it best to keep her in our room for a bit longer?

Totally up to you. My little guy is 6.5 months and still with us. We have started putting him in his cot in his room for the odd nap so he starts getting used to it. Then maybe move him out in another month. He sleeps right through tho so he will care not a jot😂us on the other hand......🙈

My little boy is 3.5 months and we plan on moving him into his own room in next few weeks. He is in his next to me crib in our room but we moved it away from us as he wasnt settling well while being near us! It will benefit us all him being in his own room undisturbed!

I think it deoends on the individual baby - can you just give it a go and see what happens? With Dd we tried her own room at 6.5 months, it was a disaster, up 6/7 times a night. Moved her back & tried again at 8.5 months, she was fine. With DS as soon as we got to 6 months we tried, he was fine first time & it reduced his wakeups from 1 to 0.

We have just moved to our new home and need to get a cot ready first as she is currently in a next to me crib. I am hoping that it would reduce her waking as she wakes up at least once sometimes twice and she can get agitated. Once is usually due to a feed and would like her to sleep all night.

I think it depends on why she is waking on whether it will make a difference. I would suggest maybe trying her in the cot for day naps so she get used to being in there.
