Vomiting prevention

I have recently bought a new car seat as my 14 month old has outgrown his old one and he is now positioned forward facing. He seems to be vomiting more now.
Are there any tips on how I can prevent this from happening?

Or has anyone experienced this with their little ones?

Please be kind!

Can you try rear facing him again? 14 months is very young to be forward facing.

Back to rear facing. He's too young for forward facing really.

Windows open mostly. Not many layers. He's 5 now and can now mention when he feels it coming on. Mostly relates to air for him...

Hello, been told he's too tall to sit rearward and that from 15 months he would have been forward facing according to guidelines. Is this not the case?

Children can sit rear-facing to 4 and beyond. Get an ERF seat. Safer and might solve the sickness.

Hi op I have a 15 month old and he's rear facing. At 15 months they can legally forward face but it's not necessarily recommended.
My little ones legs are a bit squished because he's so long, but I had a quick Google and that's absolutely fine because they are so flexible x

The 15-month thing is that with i-Size seats they must rear face until at least 15 months. Then you can turn forward but there's no need to do so. Rear-facing seats go up to 25kg.

And DD is 3 next month and still happily rear-facing as are plenty of of her pals Grin

OP forward facing is fine, please don't worry. Yes rear-facing is safer but forward facing isn't unsafe. Only on mumsnet is it akin to giving kids crack or something. They will soon adjust, but good ventilation helps and maybe try Sun screens on both rear windows to reduce the view in their peripheral vision which is causing it.
