Is it time to go to the doctor?

For the third night in a row, we've just finished an epic clean-up mission following a horrendous nappy (with just-turned-2 DD waking us by crying "poo!", bless her Sad)

We're talking full-on clothes in the bin, toddler in the shower. Just awful.

Given that this is night 3 of this happening, should I contact our GP? She seems okay otherwise - no temperature, a cough that she's had for months (PCRs and LFTs always negative) and nursery haven't reported any bad nappies during the day. She's been off her food a little; less enthusiastic about her dinner than normal, but generally okay. She's tired and emotional after nursery but again, that's not unusual.

I feel like every week there's something new to worry about . . .

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'd give them a call, even if they just tell you it's normal and to wait a bit and call them again.

Thanks @KiloWhat - I'll do that.

Has she got her back molars through yet?

Hi @Harrysmummy246 ooooooo could they be coming through and causing issues? I hadn't thought of that. It would possibly explain her going off her food a bit too!

Hi OP
Just wondering how your LO is doing?

RedPandaFluff · 08/01/2022 08:35

Hi @Surgarblossom - lovely of you to ask, thank you. I kept DD home from nursery so she could rest (which was a bit of a nightmare from a work perspective) and I held off on contacting the doctor in view of the molars possibility. Happily she didn't have any more bad nappy incidents and her appetite came back with a vengeance! So I think it might be molars and maybe she was a little run-down - she's always exhausted after nursery, might have needed a break Grin

Thank you for the advice - I'm so reluctant to speak to the doctor these days, they just seem massively overwhelmed. I feel like you have to be certain something is wrong to justify it!
