Snacks for a v hungry toddler

DS is 2.5. He had a virus for most of December and was totally off his food. Now that he's better, he seems to be hungry all the time. He's quite a fussy eater (especially with fruit and veg) but does anyone have any good recipes for things I can make and throw at him when he gets hangry that will be filling and relatively nutritious?

Banana flapjacks.

Mix porridge oats with banana and a little honey, bake in the oven.

Go for things with high protein, cheese was always a favourite here

Hummus and crackers, flapjacks, cheese flapjacks, peanut butter with apple or crackers, banana or carrot muffins?

Thank you! Some great ideas. I do give DS cheese as a snack quite often but his appetite for it is limitless (as is mine...) and they serve cheese every day at nursery. Flapjacks seems like a really good idea especially with added veggies. I think I made some back in the weaning days so I will revisit!

Thank you all!

I’ve just made banana and peanut muffins, they look like they’ll sink a ship once cooked! Tesco recipe. I’ll let you know what DD thinks…

DD is the same age and going through a growth spurt – peanut butter on crackers or toast is a current favourite. She also loves tuna and sweetcorn, which you could make ahead and keep in the fridge (and serve with breadsticks/crackers/pita if you wanted, although DD would happily eat it by itself).
