I have just had a thought

My 4 year old DD has been dry at night in the past but is back in nappies at the moment. She can go all day with only 2 trips to the loo and goes for hours and hours between them. I am happy she drinks enough. Could her low amount of day time loo breaks be the reason she is still wet at night? She was dry in the day before she was 2.

My dd1 was the same she would go into such a deep sleep and would not wake she eventually grew out of it by a 5.

My dd 3 is trained 1 year now she just turned 3 and she also still wears a nappy at night she goes to the toilet about 8 times a day no kidding I think she has a small bladder hold!!.

DD2never had this problem and once she was trained she just automatically was dry by night.

Maybe you could try taking her to the loo when you go to bed?

I know its very frustrating especially as they are so good by day.

I don't really want to lift her. We tried it with my son but he cried the whole time to go back to bed and didn't even wee. She isn't as heavy a sleeper as him but I don't think it is the right thing to do for us, and it will disturb her sleep. Will hang in there, they will do it eventually!

Maybe encourage her to go more frequently in the day time. I think her bladder must be used to holding a lot of liquid before she needs to go.

I don't know when you give her a last drink but we cut out the night time milk for my son who was 4 before he was dry at night. That way if your daughter has a drink with her tea and gets used to going to the toilet more frequently she may do her last wee before bed.

Does she wake when she is wet? Or do you find her wet in the morning so have no idea when she is going? Keep a diary of when she drinks and wees to see how long she does hold it.

She wants some water at bed time and I don't like to stop that. She doesn't wake in the night when wet whether she is wearing a nappy or knickers. She was upset last night as she wanted knickers but Daddy said no. I think he was thinking about the amount of beds I had already had to do this week.
