Is it just me that feels like I'm always taking my kid to the doctor?? 😖

He's in again this morning for a bug that just won't shift (Covid test negative).

Has been twice in the past couple of months with bronchiolitis, before that with some other bug of some kind.

I feel like they are going to be rolling their eyes when I walk through the door 🤣

If you are following the guidance on the NHS website then no they won’t.

Bronchiolitis is a bitch. I got a phone call from social services because my DS had so many a&e attendances - it was Bronchiolitis every time and he desperately needed hospital every time. Plus then his ears kept exploding with infections so we were never away from the GP. He grew out of it. Its quite normal for young children really.

Of course not! Poor you and poor your son. Sounds grim. What else are they there for but to see sick people?

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Think most people feel like this at some point when you e got kids that pick everything up. I don’t have to even give the name when I ring up now they know us so well Blush you have to advocate for your child though so put it out of your mind. I’d rather a gp surgery think I was over zealous than my child poorly

There is a lot of viral and bacterial infections around at the moment. I find we don’t go for years and then need to go four times in a month.

This happens to me, and I’m an adult. My GP probably hates me Grin

I’m a GP and I never mind seeing children, ever. Things change quickly with them, and if you’re worried they need to be seen. Also being honest it’s quite a quick consultation usually, and it’s our bread and butter. But as PP said, there is lots of good information on the nhs website and also pharmacies can be very useful too.
