Are some kids just wingy?

So genuinely intrigued to hear peoples answers. Have one of your kids been way more wingy than the other? Is it just down to a child's temperament?

My ds is 17mo and is WINGY. He can be delightful, but predominantly he is wingy. 1 million times more wingy than any other kids a similar age to him that we spend time with. I interact with him at home, we play games like hide and seek, we build towers, play with balls etc etc... 70% of the time if he has your FULL and I mean full attention not even a glance to the other side of the room or a word to my partner he will be okay. But the other 30% of the time even with your full attention he's still wingy. We go out every day whether that be the park, a friends house, shopping or a big day out he always gets out. He has routine, structure, food and a stable home!

Are some kids just wingy?!

My daughter is whigy l call her whinge bucket. I think some kids are just like that. My daughter also has everything she needs and sometimes she is so lovely and other times just whinges constantly.

Hopefully, they will grow out of it.

@Asi1 I'm so glad to hear it's not just me! It's hard work isn't it 😅 how old is your daughter?

It’s definitely just temperament. Some kids just know, in stronger terms, what they want and like (or don’t want or like) when they are too young to articulate with words as opposed to whinge. Some babies are easy going and some are more highly strung. It is hard work (my DS is the same age and is prone to whinging), but I’m certain it’ll get better as he becomes more verbal. He’s definitely better out the house, well rested and full of snacks!
