Silent reflux

My 6 week old has silent reflux and every night my husband and I take turns to stay awake and have her sleep upright on our chests. We are exhausted and I also have a busy toddler to run around after. What helped your little one's reflux?
During the day she naps in her bouncy chair, in sling or sometimes in the pram if we have the bassinet tilted a bit. She hates her crib, even with one side raised.
So far we have tried...

Feeding little and often
Trying different temperatures of milk
Frequent winding during feeds
Thickened formula
Changed brand of formula
I was bf for first 4 weeks then combi feeding but no difference in her reaction to a bf or a ff.
Raising head of crib
GP prescribed Gaviscon 3 days ago but it hasn't changed anything.

I'm just wondering if there is anything obvious I'm missing that might make a difference? I don't really want stronger medication but feel it's what is needed now. I hate seeing her unhappy all the time and I'm worried about it impacting on her general development. She spends her days feeding, being held upright and sleeping. Very little time for anything else.

The Gaviscon will take a while to work. Even if the acid is reducing don’t forget she will have a sore throat from the acid and that takes a while to heal.
I found a cocoonababy really helped with reflux for my two babies

What helped us was a dummy, ranitadine and weaning at 16 weeks. We say a huge turn around 4 months.

I wish I had known more about it at the time. Because looking back now, it's highly likely my DS had some form of diary allergy. He came out in a rash the first day he had formula but it was put down to something else at hospital. He always had baby eczema and bad silent reflux. He's then gone on to have asthma. It wasn't until he was diagnosed with that at 3 and the paediatrician was asking about it all that they suggested he probably had CMPA.

So don't be afraid of going back to the GP and pushing for alternative formula.

Thanks for the replies. I do wonder if allergy is the cause of it but there aren't any other symptoms. I'm wondering whether to ask for prescription formula first, before any more medication. Or maybe Dr could give both.

I could have written this myself. We are having the same experience and our DD is nearly 6 weeks. She can only sleep on a night when held on our chests. Sometimes she sleeps in her crib but wakes shortly after crying. It's so awful to see her in pain

We have been trying Nutramigen as they suspected CMPA. We are trying to give it time to work but so far it doesn't seem to be. I have stopped BF as it seemed to make her so much worse. I gave up dairy but obviously it takes a while to leave your system.

It's so so awful to see them in pain, it breaks my heart! Hope you get sorted but let me know. We are seeing a paediatrician on Tuesday and really hoping that helps
