Hiya.. has anyone else had this problem ? .. I got a 6 week old little boy... hes normally really good ..he doesn't cry hes pretty chilled however whenever i feed him a bottle he seems really unsettled.. he doesn't cry but he strains toss and turns all the time... grunts .. look like hes pushing something out and curls up into a ball ... because of that reason he chokes him self a lot .. i tried different size teats .. different bottles but nothing helps .. 😕 .. i think hes eating less because of that too as he only has like 2-3oz at each feed 🤔 any advice please !

Could he have wind? Is he more settled if you burp him?

Have you considered reflux?

I burp him a lot and doesn't help .. and i think it may be but he doesnt cry .. he very rarely spits milk up so not too sure

Has he been checked for tongue tie? If he can’t get a good seal he will be taking in a lot of air during feeds

How often are you winding him? My eldest needed winding after every ounce. He'd squirm, grunt, knees up to chest and appear really uncomfortable until He'd burped.
They don't necessarily cry when they need to burp or spit up milk. Flowers

Could be tongue tie

Hes been checked for tongue tie at birth and he hasn't got one .. Im trying to burp him more often now but still seems all wiggly during feeding

Are you doing paced feeding?

dancingintherain92 · 08/12/2021 08:47

My baby did this amongst other things, he has cmpa and silent reflux. Semi under control now and feeding is much better. Not saying it is those things but worth looking up symptoms online xx
