Buying clothes for 90th centile baby girl

Hi everyone,

My first DD is 3 months old. She is in the 90th centile for size and growing so quickly!

She's already out of some of the smaller fitting 3-6 month clothes. She's a first grandchild so we were very lucky to be inundated with gifts after she was born. She's growing so quickly that many of them have barely been worn (or not worn at all) before she grew out of them.

So I wanted to ask any parents of larger babies, how did you approach buying clothes for your little ones. What size clothes were they in by the time they were about 5 or 6 months old?

My children were big 97th+ percentile . 0-3 lasted untik 2/3 weeks old, 3-6 lasted until 4 months and 6-9 until about 8 months old. 7,5&4 now, all slim but tall! Two pieces do last longer. Also footless sleepsuits are much better

DD is very tall for her age & always has been - she's currently 7yrs old but in size 9-10 clothes, swiftly moving into 10-11!. She was always 1-2 stages above her age so I always picked up items in charity shops & baby sales in the next sizes as & when I saw them. If friends or family ask, say to get the size above what she is currently wearing. Store everything for the next baby if you plan to have more.
