Hello great minds!

I'm back with another r party related post. Can anyone help with ideas of what to do for food for a kids party DC is turning 5.

Do I do a buffet/ food on a table/food boxes? What sort of food should I do? Party is AM finishes at 12.30 so not really lunch territory as the plan is to eat at 11.15?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is it at home or in a venue?

At a community hall

I'd do lunch at 12. I know you didn't ask but lunch, cake and it all fizzles out, they just want to go home!
Ask for a sandwich preference - cheese, ham, tuna. Make up wrapped sandwiches and then have items they can pick. Mini boxes of raisins. Fromage frais. Wotsits, skips, quavers. Mini cake bars. 2 types of squash and big jugs of water. Keep it simple! Good luck!

I'd do lunch at 22:45 and I'd out it all in little cardboard lunchboxes, one in front of each child. Make up extra sandwiches so if anyone needs another one or any adults want one, there's a couple of platters of sarnies to go round.

Carton of juice or similar, small packet of kid friendly crisps (mini cheddars) fruit bag, sandwich and a cupcake.

@Icantremembermyusername has definitely done this before and I second their advice!

Lol @JetRocket I have catered for more of these parties than I care to remember :-)
Make life easy and buy 'no crust' bread , square ham slices and ready sliced cheese.
And label the sandwiches! Makes the kids feel special and you're not left with a sobbing over excited child who wanted tuna but there is only cheese left!

What others said about food- individual little boxes, as at that age they will only make mess of large platers of food or fruit.
I have always gave them mini cartons of juice and mini bottles of water- less spillage than plastic cups.
