Tweeto 7 in 1 cot - anyone brought one?

I've seen this (very expensive) cot which seems full of features.

tweeto.uk/collections/tweeto-bed

Does everything with bells on. Best thing about it I think would be the adjustable base/mattress imo. I'm only 5 ft and can't reach the bottom of a traditional cot with lifting a leg off the ground.

Wondering if anyone has had experience with it?

Hoping it would be a good investment and will last until baby is in a proper bed.

I'm a FTM and not sure if I'm being ridiculous spending this much.
I can't really afford it all but my parents would like to help with a 'big ticket' item and would split the cost with them and my partner...

I don’t really see the point of it.

All cots adjust to have higher up and lower down. You have higher up when they are not moving, and have to lower when they can stand and it’s not safe to keep high up. Regardless of your height

And it takes time to convert. So if your using as one thing like a toddler bed, you can’t used as table and chairs at same time. It’s one or the other.

Buy a cot bed from ikea. It will last 0-4/5 years. You just take the side off. All adjust height wise

If you want a bedside crib or Moses basket for tiny baby ad well then buy extra, but it’s isn’t essential

I don't get it. You couldn't use it as a play pen and a cot/bed at the same time without getting the Allen key out! I think you'd get stung for bedding costs too as I don't think regular sheets would fit well due to the shape.

I don’t get it either. Every cot I’ve ever seen has adjustable height for a newborn. Just get an ikea cot bed and maybe also a cheap moses basket for the newborn period and/or daytime naps.

In what circumstances is a cot that transforms into a table and two chairs particularly useful?

You wouldn't use half the features for the same reason other posters have said- youre not realistically going to use it as a cot and then decide "oh I'll make it into a table and chairs for the afternoon!". I'd also worry if it has enough adjustment options in the mattress height to use it safely as a co-sleeper for newborns. I had a tutti bambini beside cot and there were about 6 different height options, that looks like it has only two at roughly-adult-bed-height.

Even the cheapest no-frills cots will have three adjustable heights for the mattress level, this is also the case with this cot. I understand what you mean about being a shorty, I'm 5ft 2 and it's obviously been harder putting DD into the cot since it's been on the bottom rung. But that's a safety thing; if baby is confidently sitting up and pulling themselves to standing and you keep it on the middle height they'll eventually topple over the bars.

I would also resent having to pay £££ for the specific shape of mattress (and very little/no choice of material or manufacturer) for the branded fitted sheets with little choice. I love a nice patterned sheet to make the cot look a bit less sparse when they're in sleeping bags, and I'd be funny about getting normal sheets which would create excess material at the corners.

Basically, unless you love the style of it (no judgement here, completely legitimate reason to buy something!) I'd get a normal cot and a separate bedside crib.

I decided to tell you about my experience with the 7-in-1 crib as well. So, buying a bed was actually a challenging task for me, because this is my first child, and I was not very aware of this topic. Of course, I wanted the best for Joanna, so reliability and safety were important to me first and foremost. I could have considered a bed from Ikea, because the price was much more attractive, but the quality of materials, functionality, and aesthetic value was much worse. When my skeptical friends ask me why tweeto and not a cheaper alternative, I ask them in return why you choose an iPhone over an Oppo or a Lexus over a Kia. Well, Tweeto is a Lexus. After all, if we don't save for ourselves, why should we save for our children? Besides, the crib performs a lot of important functions and really makes my life easier. Besides, I don't have to buy a children's table with chairs, a trundle bed, and a changing table separately. Joanna is now 1.5, but I know for sure that until she is 8-10 years old, the Tweeto crib will fulfill all the functions I need. In short, I recommend it!

I have purchased the Tweeto 7 in one crib last year and I can just say don’t waste your money on it. It looks nice and that is about it. It is a nightmare to put on a mattress protector and the sheet as the mattress is formed out of 2 or three separate parts. They also didn’t have sheets for the mattress at that time so I had to order bespoke ones, such as headache.
The wheels don’t work properly either so I would just say don’t invest that kind of money on it as the quality is poor. And of your baby is anything like mine they will properly spend most of their sleep contact napping in the first weeks and when a bit older they will prefer a regular bed.
All the best with your little ones.

Well I have to say, looking back on this post I'm so glad I didn't pay nearly £700 on a cot!!

My little one did spend 90% of her time asleep on me on the sofa or in the sling and we ended up paying £30 on a second hand next to me cot from marketplace!! It was definitely the pregnancy hormones!

Thanks for all the great advice all.
