Baby sensory classes

Wondering if people have experience of these - I'm signed up to a free one with my 4 month old but haven't been to anything like this yet. I'm not a fan of sitting on cold hard floors so should I take a mat for him and/ or me or would I seem strange for doing so? Do I need to take anything barring having a changing bag on hand / in the car? Do people typically carry their babies into these things or push their buggies in to the building? Any other advice? Unfortunately the company I've booked with haven't been very responsive so am also asking these questions here, plus I guess their stock response might end up different to the reality!

Ok it’s been a few years since I went but here’s what it was like.

They had mats for babies and adults to sit on, not massively thick but not uncomfortable.

I just took a changing bag in and I don’t think most people took much else, some would take a bottle if they were formula feeding.

A mix of both, people came with prams, babies in car seats and babies in arms. Car seats and prams were left at the entrance to the hall. I guess some people walked and some drove, I was able to park closely so I just took him in in arms.

Is it by the actual baby sensory franchise? If so there are mates for each baby and parent. The questions re buggy depends on the building and how far away it is from the car park, I just carried my son in to all groups as parking straight outside

Yes there's mats to sit on - some mum's take in a blanket for smaller babies too. Take your changing bag in. And yes there's normally an area to stow buggies. If I've driven I just usually carry mine in but lots of mum's take in the car seat, the car seats usually go in the hall but sometimes left with the buggy depending on the space available. Don't forget your socks as it's usually shoe free.

Thanks all. Shoe free is helpful to know as I have raynauds so will need to take some slippers or something as well as socks arent enough this time of year!
