Ds is possibly on the autism spectrum and has some issues with texture/mushy stuff ie he will eat strawberries as long as they're whole as cut up he doesn't like the wetness of it. He also has a hair trigger for vomiting so I won't do the he'll eat it if he is hungry or make him or anything like that as it either ends in full refusal to contemplate it ever again or him vomiting it all back up. Bananas are now a no go as he had an over ripe one and will even flee the room when his sister is eating them.

So I'm having a problem with what to give him for breakfast, he used to eat organix baby muesli until about 6 months ago now eats toast with peanut butter/jam/honey but he starting to be difficult with this too. So I want to come up with other idea so we can rotate a bit.

He can't have milk/milk products but likes oat milk. Won't even try any cereal (I even tried cornflake cakes and he wouldn't even try them)

So if you've read all that thank you and could you suggest any breakfast ideas. Just looking for any/all ideas as I could adapt ideas for his dairy allergy. What do you/your children eat for breakfast?

I’ve also ordered a muffin tin so I can try the egg/bacon/sausage muffins and the oat muffins.

Crumpets
Banana bread
Brioche
French toast
Croissant

I’d go with a high calorie item like above served with a piece of fresh fruit. But my kids don’t eat so I really wouldn’t listen to me.

I don’t overthink breakfast. My kids have wholemeal cereal or wholemeal toast. My eldest eats dry shreddies 😬 or wholemeal toast & butter/peanut butter. My youngest eats weatabix, shreddies or toast. Plus a cup of milk.

Sometimes I throw in some fruit like an apple or orange. Sometimes we have wholemeal or cinnamon bagels.

I personally don’t feel the need to cook at breakfast time or have anything fancy. I love toast & bagels, I’d happily eat them daily for the rest of my life 😂

The problem @Bobholll is that he won't eat any cereal even when covered in chocolate (cornflakes cakes) he wont even try it. And he is now is becoming difficult with toast as well.

We always have watermelon or tinned peaches plus whatever fruit is in season on the table along with a bowl of nuts. Then the kids can choose yoghurt or something cooked to have with it.
I keep pancakes in the freezer for quick heating up, or they can have eggs or sausages, hash brown or toast. All can be cooked quickly and a lot straight from the freezer so no fuss. We dont do cereal. My youngest choked on some when he was younger and he just wont go near it now so that's not an option for us.

When I've got more time at the weekends then we'll have spicy breakfast burritos, or eggs in purgatory or a spicy Dahl.

Breakfast can be whatever you want it to be. Whatever foods he is comfortable with and you have the time to prepare in the morning will do fine.
