Just wondering if people could share their experiences in choosing the place for raising a family. Or more specifically, what are the things necessary / nice to have for raising a young kid?
We have a 15 months old. When we chose where to rent a few months ago, we looked for plenty baby/toddler classes, leafy parks for buggy walk, outstanding nurseries, etc. When we move to our new house (approx. next year) he'll be 2yo+. Apparently primary school is a big thing. Baby/toddler classes may not be as important since he'll hopefully have lots of activities in daycare so no need for classes. Is there any other thing we will need in a few years time, for example, out of class clubs, large park for scooter/bike riding, or maybe children friendly restaurants? Sorry first time parent here. I can't remotely remember how I spent time at this young age.
I don't think we will live the same house for more than 10 ish years. So I'll just ignore the teen age for now.
TIA.
