Smoky house

Very sleep deprived and managed to leave the hob on after dinner and completely smoke out the downstairs of my house (there were actually flames). Took me some time to realise and me and DS were downstairs breathing it in for a while. He seems okay, just really upset. I've now brought him upstairs to bed and have windows open downstairs (all open plan) but it still stinks. Will it be fine to have him back downstairs in the morning on his playmats / carrycot / bouncer that stayed in the smoky room, or should I be washing them and any soft furnishings first of all? I keep being told how cigarette smoke clings and is still really damaging to babies second / third hand... not sure how much that extends to burnt food?! Presumably I don't need to get him checked out unless I notice any differences in his breathing?

Any advice from anyone this morning?

I think it should be fine, tobacco smoke has lots of bad stuff in it. maybe open every window in the house and you might need to wash everything (and I mean everything) to get rid of the smell. If you had flames, then it was a fire and it might be worth getting your house insurance involved and getting a service master type clean done. That smell gets everywhere and needs literally washing out.
