What age did you put your child into nursery?

What age is too young for nursery? I know everyone will think different and everyone's circumstances will be different.

I'm a single Mum & I'm self employed. I've recently been thinking about going back to work (don't want to be away from work too long and loose my clientele).
My D is 5 and a half months old. I feel she is slightly too young right, however, I've been looking at private nursery's near by, I'm seriously considering enrolling her when she's 7ish months.. is this too young??
I'd only sign her up for maybe 1 or 2 afternoons a week.

I'll probs back out at the last minute.. but it would be nice to have a couple of days a week childfree to get some work done.

Also a single mum. At 8 months and full time during term time. Originally I had planned to return after 6 months but my parents decided to help me out money wise so I had an extra two months off.

11 months 4 days a week as I had to go back to work. Did a few days and then a child in the room had Covid so had to isolate for 14 days 😬

My LO was fine. If I am off them LO does not go in

My older two went full time from 9 months, not a lot of choice when you have to work! The youngest will go at nearly 13 months as I've been able to have more time off this time.

Thanks! This has definitely made me feel better about considering putting her into nursery in the next few months.

And yes I've already spoke to a few nursery and put her name down!

10months for my first, 14 months for my second, 2 years 7 months for my third. They're all fine.

From experience and conversations, 18 months onwards is best.

BUT I was/am a SAHP. If you have to, you have to. It may take a little more adjustment but the child will be fine Smile and may even develop in some ways better

I’m a single mum too and part self employed. DD started with a childminder at 3months old. She did 1 day to start with 9-4, then increased this to 2days at 5months. She absolutely loves her too bits, and she’s developed so much. I picked a childminder as I wanted a home environment with her being so young and more one on one time.
I went back part time to my employer from September, and she started nursery (in addition to childminder) two more days (at 10.5months) She loves it there too. So she’s now 1 and does a total of 4 full days and really enjoys both settings.
