Formula for a 6 month old in a munchkin cup?

Is this OK is my main question really! I have a 6.5 month old who I'm trying to wean onto formula after being EBF since birth. I've tried her with tommee tippee and mam more recently for 2 weeks and she can't get on with them. She drinks about an ounce each time. I'm only trying her on one bottle in the evening and rest of the time BF and doing BLW which is going well.
However she drinks water out of her munchkin cup really well and even though I only offer her sips with meals I think if I was giving her formula in it she would drink a fair amount in one sitting.
Is it OK to give it to her in a munchkin cup and just ditch the bottle completel?
If so I have to get the stainless steel ones as I'll be using hot water to make the formula, even though these say from 12m?

No idea about the stainless steel thing but definitely get a different colour cup for milk and stick to it. Both mine hated it when they expected one thing and got another and wouldn’t be persuaded to drink anything for ages after.

Yeah was going to get a bigger one in a different colour for her formula @DressedUpAtAnIvy. It's the same lid situation but a stainless steel cup rather than the plastic so potentially better for hot liquids

Can you not make up formula in the bottle then pour into a cup? Means you have the measurements on the bottle to help with amounts of water

Aren’t babies funny? We have the opposite problem where baby will only drink out of a bottle and refuses all sippy cups even for water! If it helps, from all the ones we've unsuccessfully tried, there’s a Nuk trainer cup that’s metal and sold as suitable for 6 months and up. So I don’t imagine the metal 360 cup would be an issue if it’s otherwise the same design as the plastic. Maybe it’s just heavier so that’s why they’re not recommending it for younger ones?

@dementedpixie that's a good idea, thanks! Then I guess it's easier to cool down.
@LakeShoreD they are funny aren't they haha, each one so different. I think the aim of the munchkin cups are for them to use it themselves so the metal is probably too heavy, but I would be holding the cup for her so weight of the cup isn't a concern right now, so yeah I think that is why it's recommended for 12m plus. I'll have a look at the Nuk one though! Thanks 😊

Sorry I didn’t mean you should look at the Nuk one- it’s very bottle like so not what you want at all! I meant that because it’s metal and rated ok for younger babies, it suggests at least to me that the metal isn’t a problem so you’d be fine to use your 360 cup Smile

@LakeShoreD ahh I get you, sorry quite sleep deprived today haha!
I'm now reading that recently expert's have said the 360 Cup can cause issues with jaw and tongue placement and I'm now in a bit if a rabbit hole of cups 😂 I just don't see the point of struggling to get her onto a bottle to then in 6 months time have to get her off the bottle and onto a cup if I could just do the cup straight away and then onto an open cup when she's ready. And then one website was saying they should only have open cups and then straw cups but using an open cup with a 6 month old is just not happening.
Think I'm spiralling 😂

I use an open cup with my 6 month old and she loves it! I hold it for her so it’s not too messy. She’s ebf and I don’t think she would take a bottle either. The Doidy cups are open cups which are really popular! The NHS recommend open cups now too. You can practice in the bath to start with!
