CMPA - Baby refuses Aptamil Pepti

Hi,
So since birth I have suspected my breastfed daughter has cows milk protein allergy (eczema, constipation, projectile vomiting, strong odour wind, in pain after feeds and even dropped to the ninth percentile in weight) and I even took her to the doctors (male) several times but was told that "breastfed babies cannot be allergic to milk" and that "I'm a new mum and don't know what I'm doing and that she will catch up with time". I made a complaint to these doctors and asked to speak to a female doctor who confirmed my suspicion at 4 month old.

She is now 6 months old and I am wanting to switch to formula for cmpa but she is refusing everything that we've been given; neocate, alfamino, aptamil Pepti 2. I've tried doing 50/50 CM formula /AF and she still refuses. I've tried vanilla essence and still refuses. I've tried just plain pepti 2 and she refuses. What can I do, any suggestions?

I'm wanting to stop breastfeeding soon and I have a reduced supply due to personal stress.

TIA
Xxx

I've seen some cmpa mums use nesquick or crusha (some are dairy free) with amino acid milks because they all taste so foul.

Even with flavourings though, I think dairy free breastmilk (assuming you're DF) will taste a million times better. It might be tough to mix feed...

My little boy also had a feeding aversion, wouldn't take any milk unless asleep until 8 months old, thanks to cmpa (they refused us the amino acid formula until 6 months) and reflux. After we got alfamino and the reactions stopped, we followed the rowena Bennett method which teaches them to feed again. It puts them in full control of all feeds.

It will take a while and if you don’t mind pumping breast milk what helped for us is introducing it ever so gradually so they get used to the taste of it. So do different ratios for a few bottles each a time of breast milk and formula so like 95/5 at first and then 90/10 and gradually drop it down to zero breast milk. My daughter was the same and didn’t like the taste, I had a taste myself and they were vile!

I second expressing your breastmilk and mixing it with the formula.
Try it with a smaller feed initially as to not waste any breastmilk. See how baby takes to it, gradually increase the formula to breastmilk ratio. Good luck. It makes everything go further if you can mix them too.
