16 month old - meals and snacks

Hi,

Can anyone share what they’re feeding their toddlers for meals and snacks? I feel like I’m more often than not giving DD the same meals/snacks over and over (she eats it all up) and it just feels boring but my brain is just vanilla when it comes to creativity for little miss.

I’ve tried looking at Google but the recipes just seems so long with what feels like 100 ingredients 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Thanks!

I got an Annabel karmel book and the recipes in there are pretty good and easy. I find if I increase the ingredients I'm buying I can actually adapt to make a few of the dishes at once
There's chicken burgers, meatballs, croquettes (chicken and veggie ones) a beef casserole, quesedailla etc

Mince and tarries goes down well (I put peas and carrots in the mince).

Egg fried rice with pieces of ham and veg in.
Cheese and veg omelette

Also, soups are good. My mum makes lots of soups for DS and then to bulk it out drop bits of bread in it to get it all nice and soggy :)

My 17 month old eats whatever we are having and I haven't really gone in for snacks with him but he does like a bit of malt loaf if he is peckish between meals. Yesterday he had egg and toast for breakfast; cheese cubes, cheese thins, cucumber, grapes and a yogurt for lunch and roast beef for dinner. Today he has had cereal and yogurt for breakfast (he needs thickened fluids), a honey sandwich with some apple for lunch and will have beef casserole with dumplings for dinner.

Sausages also go down well with DS!
Sorry keep adding to the list

We eat together mostly. On days we don't I roast up some veggies in a baking tray and also cook some meat or fish with it. I have a couple of batched cooked sauces to cook with pasta... A vegetable and tomato sauce and a bolognese in the freezer for when we don't eat together-if we do something like a curry or a stir-fry or anything else I don't think they'll touch. Otherwise lasagne and salad, sausage casserole, roast dinners, shepherd's pie, omelette that sort of thing.

Lunches are boring and sometimes a bit junk food based 🤦‍♀️ potato waffle and beans, beans on toast, spaghetti on toast, cheese on toast, eggy bread, cheese sandwiches, fishfinger, waffle and beans, those cheap cheese and tomato pizzas with fresh tomatoes and sliced mushroom added as well as extra cheese.
