Nightlight in the bedroom- advice

Hello!
So my 6 month old son has moved out of DH and my room and into the children’s room. He’s sharing the room with his older brother (DSS).
Holidays are coming up and this will be DS snd DSS first time sharing a room! (DSS is very excited about this 🥰)
For the last 2 weeks we’ve been getting DS used to the room and he’s sleeping through with a bit of white noise and a dark room but I’ve realised that DSS usually sleeps with the bedside light on, it is a soft light but it lights up the room and DS sleeps in complete darkness. We’ve tried putting DS down with the night light on but he won’t settle unless it’s completely dark!
Any advice or ideas on what we could do/try?

Put baby down first and switch the nightlight on when DSS goes to bed?

I had this with three year old and
One year old. One year old learnt to settle with the light in in the end. We moved to a more subtle light and now we have quite a dim night projector on the ceiling. Both sleep well through the night, but little one was not really keen to start with

We got some of these from IKEA, it's a cuddly bunny with light up tummy, but the light goes off after 15 mins so room is dark most of the night. If they're still awake after 15 mins, you just press the tummy to put the light on again
