Can someone please help, not sure what to do. My 7 week old daughter was originally on Aptamil and we changed to Aptamil comfort milk due to colic and constipation, she was fine in that but then started to refuse and spit up after. So we then changed it C&G which she seemed perfectly fine in but since then has had runny poos. So we have now changed her back to Aptamil yesterday and every since she has been squeezing in pain and grunting.

I spoke to health care professionals about the runny poo and they didn’t seem bothered

Contact your HV. I'd be wary about changing her diet anymore, Hereford poor system is a probably way out of whack.
Runny poo is normal in babies. As long as its not watery or mucousy. It should be like a sloppy wet peanut butter.

I spoke to my HV and she said about changing again, she didn’t seem too bothered. Her poo was mucusy but she had rsv and said that’s probably her trying to get all the mucus out. And her poos are like water!

It's not uncommon for poo to be like that after the rsv so I'm not surprised the HV wasn't too worried. I wouldn't keep switching her formula unless she's uncomfortable too, babies poos can be disgusting for quite a while! If she seems uncomfortable, but was fine with C&G I'd think about switching back but then leaving it at that.

Yeah I'd agree c&g

Can you post a photo of her nappy contents for us to reassure you? Don't include baby though just the nappy only Xx

PerfectPrepPrincess · 15/10/2021 08:44

Why do you feel everything is going wrong? Xx

Meg173 · 15/10/2021 08:46

This is the consistency, and colic, then rsv and now constant milk change xx

That's normal xxx

How would you describe the colic. Why do you think it's colic?

You're doing a wonderful job Flowers

PerfectPrepPrincess · 15/10/2021 08:55

Looks like it's just wee mixed in with the stool.

Meg173 · 15/10/2021 08:59

I’ve watched it come out of her bum, it’s definitely a watery consistency and hv said about colic as she used to just cry and be awake for hours, she also struggles with bringing wind xx

I wouldn't worry, looms quite normal! Colic is absolute hell for baby and parents but it does pass. We found feeding smaller amounts but more often really helped (especially with exorcist-style vomiting!). If you're ever concerned though, ask to see a practice nurse or GP. They would always rather see baby than not and it'll put your mind at ease.

Meg173 · 15/10/2021 09:26

Thank you all! I’m waiting for a doctor to call me back

Keep taking pics of the nappies to show the GP and make an appointment with your HV to see an infant feeding specialist if you're worried Xx

No it doesn’t look normal, definitely get it checked for CMPA x
